1. Group Therapy Coffee

One of the more prominent cafés in town, Group Therapy Coffee has grown from a humble events space to one of the most recognisable names in the local food scene. Here, you can find a smorgasbord of sandwiches, homemade desserts, and fresh bakes made with love. They’re also reasonably priced, which means you can indulge without breaking the bank. 

Not to be missed is the Carrot Cake ($8) which features four layers of sponge with light cream cheese frosting and walnuts. For something more decadent, go for the Cookies and Cream Cheesecake ($7) or New York Cheesecake ($7). Wash it all down with Fresh Juice ($6) or a double-shot cuppa ($3.50 – $8.50).

2. Hangar66 Café

Aero geeks, come hang out at Hangar66 Café, Singapore’s only aviation-themed café! Located within an actual private aircraft hangar, this quirky café also houses an actual gyrocopter. Talk about high tea with a view, this is next level.

3. Kith Café

Another popular café on the list, Kith Café has an unpretentious vibe that makes it ideal for families to enjoy weekend high tea. What’s more, its convenient locations across Singapore’s most popular shopping malls means you can refuel with delicious cakes and tea in between your shopping sprees.

Tuck into wholesome pastries that include Kith Café’s best-selling Banana Bread, Mixed Berry Crumble Muffin, and Cranberry Scone. Alternatively, you can check out the Cake of the Month which is available at 15% off. Diners will also be in for a spooktacular treat this October, with a special Pumpkin Spice Tart that brings out the warm and cosy flavours of Fall.

4. Thus Coffee

Nestled in Sembawang Hills, Thus Coffee is a budding specialty coffee company that strives to serve hearty meals and good coffee to the community. 

Its cosy shophouse space is home to an art piece that bears a Chinese idiom for staying grounded and down-to-earth a reminder to staff and patrons the importance of watching out for unknowns ahead of them. 

Build the perfect high tea spread with their all-day Sweet Treats, which include Lava Cake ($13 – $15) and a rotation of Daily Cakes ($7). The Bites & Pastries menu consists of savoury and sweet snacks such as Crispy Chick Chunks ($12), Cheese Danish ($3.50), and Pain Au Chocolat ($3.50). 

5. Two Bakers

Known for artisanal Japanese desserts, Two Bakers has settled in its new space at Horne Road. The Dessert and Pancakes menu boasts aesthetic high tea sets that are perfect for the ‘gram! 

Nibble your way through dainty selections of  Earl Grey Pear (from $8), Passionfruit Lamington (from $8.50), and Honeycomb Speculoos (from $9). If you’re looking for something to share, get the Ricotta Pancakes ($14). Peck away at fluffy pancakes adorned with fresh berries and pecans with a dollop of house-made ricotta.

Craving more sweet bites for the road? Grab the Dessert Box ($32) which consists of three to four treats including cakes and pastries fresh from Two Bakers’ oven! 

6. Under Der Linden

If the title of Best High Tea in Singapore was awarded based on delicious food and aesthetic settings, Under Der Linden would top the list of eligible cafés.

An all-time favourite, PS Café needs no introduction. Known for their incredibly fragrant truffle fries, PS Café also serves delicious bites that pair well with an afternoon coffee or tea. 

Highly recommended is the Cured Salmon, Egg & Dill Bunwich ($18) which you can customise with an add-on of fries, side salad, and slaw for $6. For sweets, you cannot miss the iconic Double Chocolate Blackout Cake ($20) or Sticky Date Pudding ($17), the two desserts that have become synonymous with PS Café. 

2. The Marmalade Pantry

Homegrown bistro The Marmalade Pantry serves up delectable afternoon tea, as well as signature cakes and cupcakes that will keep tummies full and guests happy. 

Indulge yourselves for afternoon tea with the limited-time-only Nostalgia Afternoon Tea ($78). Available till 31 October 2022, this alluring high tea set for two can also be sent as a gift with a personalised card. Expect to find teatime treats with a local twist, such as Otah Mousse Toast, Satay Chicken Brioche, and Milo Lover’s Dream Petite Cupcakes. 

3. The Summerhouse and Wildseed

Floral-themed café, The Summerhouse and Wildseed’s treats are now available online! 

From whole Shortcakes ($90) to Croissants ($7 – $14), French Toast ($18) to farm-to-table dishes, there’s nothing not to love about the French-inspired menu. Take your pick and order for delivery.
