Going back to the office or perhaps, still working or studying from home? No time on your hands? You’ll probably benefit from a bento box delivery.
Ever since the recent Circuit Breaker, restaurants and catering companies have been rolling out bento sets for your fuss-free enjoyment at home. Even as the nation is slowly relaxing on distancing measures, we can be certain that bentos are getting bigger, better, and more elaborate. For one, Grain’s subscription service!
If you’re spoilt for choice, we’ve searched high and low for some Bento Box Deliveries in Singapore you can count on.
1. Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant
You’ve probably heard of Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant by now and if you haven’t—where have you been?
The famed dim sum house is often associated with value-for-money treats. Of course, we can’t forget the signature mee suah kueh and how it’s a go-to supper spot. But bentos? This was definitely something new.
You know those days where you’re just craving a little bit of everything but then you realise we’re kinda stuck in the middle of a pandemic? Well, the Dim Sum Bento (from $8.90) checks all the boxes. Whether you’re ordering in for the office or having that long-awaited gathering with friends, indulge in the best of Swee Choon, all while being socially responsible.
2. Keng Eng Kee Seafood
Westies, Keng Eng Kee Seafood is definitely no stranger to you. Known for their Moonlight Horfun, Coffee Pork Ribs and other wok-derful dishes, the family-run zi char stall put together some well-loved Bento classics.
Now, this is one I’m really excited to share about. With 6 different options to choose from, the KEK Bento (from $12.80) comes with fragrant egg fried rice as the staple and is balanced off with a portion of veg of the day.
Jio your colleagues and have a go at the Marmite Chicken Bento ($12.80) or Salted Egg Prawns Bento ($15.80) for the ultimate work lunch. Remember to get one box each because you’re not going to want to share this! Well, it’s not like you can anyway…
3. White Restaurant
Don’t play play… White Restaurant is the OG White Beehoon in Singapore and you can be sure they do it best. Even before the world went into lockdown, the team served up bento boxes, catering sets and party meals for family, friends and loyal customers.
In a time like this, I’d like to think bento boxes are the safest meal options as we slowly go out to meet friends and reunite with colleagues. Choose from the Original White Beehoon ($13.07) or Seafood Fried Rice ($13.07), complete with familiar sides such as hei zhor (prawn roll), Signature Fried Wings and more.
4. Penang Culture
A familiar face in malls, Penang Culture long joined the bento box bandwagon with fuss-free favourites. The Halal-certified restaurant is popular amongst families, whipping up delicious Penang delights for families and friends alike.
The Premium Bento ($9.90) would be a safe option, with a choice of Lemon Chicken or Thai Apple Chicken, complete with Sambal prawns, vegetables and rice.
I’d recommend going for the Penang favourites such as Hokkien Prawn Noodles ($12.00) and Penang Fried Kway Teow ($13.00). Not quite your classic bento box but hey, it counts if it’s served in one, right?
5. Mum’s Kitchen Catering
An established catering company, Mum’s Kitchen Catering specialises in halal catering for events and occasions of any scale.
With close to 25 years in the catering business, we daresay that Mum’s Kitchen has perfected their craft over time. Expect a slew of local and international delights, like Mum’s Signature Mee Siam, Mum’s Signature Laksa, and Mushroom Spaghetti Aglio Olio ($40 for 5 pax).
If you’re looking to get bang for your buck, we would definitely recommend their wide selection of Meal In A Box (from $40 for 5 pax), which comes up to $8 per person, and their Bento Boxes (from $80 for 10 pax), which comes up to $8 per person.
6. Marche Mövenpick Restaurants
Swiss dining chain Marche Mövenpick Restaurants and its market cuisine is no stranger to Singapore’s dining scene.
For those that want to up the ante on their catering game, Marche’s homemade dishes will surely impress, not only in terms of presentation but also in taste. Made with utmost care using seasonal and local ingredients, their Sharing Bundles (from $42.90 for 2 pax) are packed with family favourites like Pizza, Crispy Pork Knuckle, and the iconic Swiss Rösti.
I’d go for a German Platter ($52.90) or a Breakfast Crepe (from $11.90) any day, but they also deliver breakfast, fresh bakes, desserts, and sandwiches. Whatever the occasion, you’re all set.
7. Ichiban Bento
Fans of Japanese casual restaurant Ichiban Boshi now have an alternative, Ichiban Bento. Conceptualised as a convenient food kiosk, Ichiban Bento promises to be your go-to spot for an impressive selection of takeaway bento at affordable prices.
You’re guaranteed to find something within the extensive selection of classic bento, which comes complete with a rice, a side salad, gyoza, and your choice of meat.
We would recommend the bestselling Chicken Steak Teriyaki Bento ($10.50), Salmon Mentai Bento ($16), Chicken Karaage Curry Bento ($11) that are packed with flavour and definitely value-for-money. There’s also something for vegetarians, with special meat-free Bentos made with Quorn products available.
If I were you, I’d grab a friend and go for the Buddy Bento B ($27.20), consisting of a Salmon Teriyaki Bento, Oyako Don, Chicken Karaage, and Chawanmushi to share!
8. A-One Claypot House
As the name suggests, A-One Claypot House specialises in comforting recipes, simmered and served on piping hot claypots and hotplates.
Those looking for comforting fare that have a home-cooked touch should definitely go for A-One’s array of bento sets, like the Gong Bao Chicken Bento Set ($10.80) or Honey Sweet & Sour Pork Bento Set ($10.80).
Ala-carte menu items, such as the moreish Deep Fried Pumpkin & Lotus Root with Creamy Salted Egg Sauce (from $14.90) and Signature Dried Scallop Premium Porridge ($11.90), are available should you wish to elevate your #StayHome, bento box delivery meal.
9. Kebabs Faktory
Kebabs Faktory is your one-stop-shop for Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean-influenced fast food. Think doners, gyros, pitas, and shawarma rolls.
Feeling rabz kebabs? You’ll feel better after tucking into a Falafel Roll (from $9.90) or Chicken Gyro (from $10.90).
Choose from heartier options like Curries (from $9.90), Pita Pockets (from $9.90), and Rice Boxes (from $9.90) for an even greater energy boost. If you’re in a rush or on-the-roll, this makes the perfect bento box delivery option for you.
10. EPIKebabs

Even better, go all out and indulge in the Ultimate Meat Plate! a.k.a. HSP ($39) or Indomeeat Platter! ($39)—it’s a carnivore’s dream come true.
Having a party now that the social distancing rules are relaxing? You know who to hit up.
