Food trends may come and go, but one thing’s for sure: nothing beats your classic steak and fries. This unpretentious dish has been enjoyed at many a French bistro, and now you enjoy it from the comfort of your home thanks to Oddle Eats. Here are six great restaurants to order from!

1. Armenor

Armenor’s Sous Vide Black Angus S/M Beef Tenderloin Steak (from $38++)

Elegant yet unpretentious, modern European restaurant Armenor serves up quality cuts like the Australia Picanha Steak (from $33) and Black Angus Ribeye Steak (from $54). All cuts are served with baked black garlic, grilled USA asparagus, and a choice of sauce, including Café De Paris Butter and Béarnaise Sauce. Opt for small bites like Thick-Cut Fries (from $13), Roasted King Oyster Mushrooms (from $17), or share a plate of their delectable pastas and pizzas if you’ve space for more.

2. Bedrock Bar & Grill

Fans of Tomahawk steak have Bedrock Bar & Grill to thank for being the first to popularise the cut way back in 2009. Today, the award-winning modern bar and steakhouse is known for its wide selection of steak and wines. Pick up mains like Woodfire-Grilled Ribeye Steak (from $58), served with thick-cut fries, thyme better, and your choice of side (options include Bedrock’s much raved about Smoked Tomato Soup, Caesar Salad, and more).

Up for some extra indulgence? The Australian Grass-Fed Ribeye (from $89) and Dry-Aged T-Bone Steak (from $98) are melt-in-your-mouth tender and full of complex flavours. Grilled to perfection, they are served with Black Truffled Thick-Cut Fries (from $18) and a choice of house-made sauces, like Wholegrain Whiskey Mustard and Red Wine Sauce.

In addition, don’t miss FREE delivery when you order on Mondays!

3. Bistro Du Vin

Committed to serving authentic, affordable meals, Bistro Du Vin prides itself on plating up food that defies French cuisine’s “fussy” and “pompous” reputation.

Their Steak Frites (from $56++) is a solid crowd favourite, featuring Australian Black Angus Ribeye, watercress, and crispy french fries. Choose between Béarnaise or Red Wine Sauce to accompany your dish.

Starting June, you can also order Family Bundles (from $280), which offer generous selections of starters, mains, and desserts.

4. L’Entrecôte The Steak & Fries Bistro (Duxton Hill)

French restaurant L’Entrecôte is well-known for their steak and fries—given that it’s in their name, it’s no surprise! Their signature item is the Trimmed Entrecôte Steak with Legendary Secret Sauce (from $39.80), featuring a tender, sliced steak and ‘secret sauce’ full of fragrant flavours of mushroom and black pepper.

If you’re dining with loved ones, opt for their Family Pack for 4, which includes a Cheese & Charcuterie Platter, 4 Trimmed Steaks, Fries, and Mousse au Chocolat. Every order of a family and couple pack will enjoy a complimentary bottle of Cuvée de L’Entrecôte, available for a limited time only.

5. Les Bouchons

Known for its classic and value-for-money steak frites, Les Bouchons is a stalwart of French cuisine in Singapore. Steak lovers especially will be spoilt for choice, because there are six cuts of meat to choose from.

The Extra Tender Angus Beef Filet (from $54++) is a crowd favorite with well-seasoned, plump meat served with a range of homemade sauces. Couples can opt for the Angus Prime Rib (from $148++) which serves up 1 kg “Côte de Bœuf” with salads and fries for two.

If you’re wondering what makes Les Bouchons’ fries so addictive, the secret lies in their preparation methods. Twice-fried in duck fat, their fries are crisp and golden on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside.

Look out for their 20th-anniversary celebrations in July, offering month-long promotions and wine specials.

6. Meadesmoore

Meadesmoore’s Black Opal Wagyu MS6/7 Zabuton (from $148++)

Last but not least, Meadesmoore is a modern steakhouse that deems itself a “joyous fist bump to the grand steakhouses of the early 1900s in the US and UK”. Think charcoal-grilled steaks of hearty proportions and decadent side dishes.

Their large-format meats (from $138-$280), like the Black Opal Wagyu Zabuton MS6-7 (from $148), are catered for 2 to 5 people, boasting intense marbling and melt-in-your-mouth textures.

Pair your steak with sharing sides like Truffle Fries (from $12), Burrata (from $22), and Spicy Pig’s Ear (from $17) for a satisfying meal.

With Oddle Eats, you can re-create the French bistro experience without stepping out of your house. Take your pick from Oddle’s curated merchants across Singapore!

I believe that all food is made equal, but if I really must choose 1 cuisine to eat from for the rest of my life, it would be Japanese seconded closely by Indonesian.
