BA BUÔNG - A Name, A Legacy, A Promise My father ran a small family food shop in Saigon, Vietnam, continuing the recipes passed down through generations. With every loaf of bánh mì and every traditional dish, he supported our family and raised me to who I am today. Life is full of warmth, yet the pandemic was unforgiving. During that time, illness took my father away. Being in Singapore, I was unable to see him one last time – a regret I will carry with me. Whenever I think of him, I make bánh mì with my own hands, remembering his skilled movements and the flavors he left behind. I opened my first shop in Singapore under his name – Ba Buông. Each loaf carries love and remembrance. I will continue to protect and pass on his craft and his flavors, so that love and memory will always remain.
