Mind-blowing
'Gyu-Niku Dashi Zosui ($12). Rice porridge with egg in a mushroom-beef broth. An absurdly comforting porridge with sweet beef stock and just the right watery consistency. There are wagyu fat trimmings added in, which explains how such a simple bowl of porridge can taste like the nectar of the cow Gods. The next time I would probably put this dish at the start of the meal to really blow my mind without feeling so stuffed already- if I found it this good when I’m full, it’s going to be amazing when I’m hungry.'

Tender and Blissful with each bite
'There are many wagyu beef around, but these slices in the bowl happen to be so tender and incredibly flavourful. It won’t be exaggerating to say I get the feeling of bliss everything I had this bowl, and won’t have a probably finishing it. Expect to find opulent ingredients from sliced wagyu steak, uni, caviar, foie gras, to onsen egg on fluffy Japanese rice.'

Generous amount served!
'The Fatcow Premium Donburi (S$98) is an exaggerated version of the beef bowl. First of all, the serving size was markedly larger than the usual Japanese rice bowl. Secondly, not only did it come with wagyu beef slices but it also included toppings such caviar, foie gras, onsen egg and uni. This was by far the most gratifying beef bowl I’ve ever had and the most unforgettable, too. The Australian sirloin slices were fine without being too thin, The fibers broke apart easily upon consumption – an indication of the MBS 5 score – and the amount of each topping was relatively generous.'
