'Enveloped in a lovely aroma, theirs flaunts a glistening golden-brown skin that‘s not only outrageously crispy but has the right amount of juicy fat in all the right places. The meat is very flavourful and tender (yes, even the breast), and there is nary a whiff of what I call “duckiness”, the gamey smell that clings on.'

'Stewed or fried, the Imperial Treasure Mee Pok Noodles with ‘leftover’ duck meat is a true reflection on how the best of Chinese and Singapore’s cuisine can come together to form a simple yet formidable dish. Be prepared to pay about a hundred bucks for the meal of a few courses, but it is still highly recommended.'

Bursts with flavour
'I always order the double boiled soup of the day whenever I go to imperial treasure restaurants. It bursts with flavour. Roast meats are predictably good here, obviously especially the Peking duck. Even the seafood offerings are good too.'
