The whole fish came in a very large portion consisting of numerous vegetable ingredients such as tomatoes, lady fingers & a touch of fresh spring onions that indeed look so mouthwatering even before indulging.'

'The curry gravy turned out to be deliciously balanced and not quite as fiery as I had expected and the fish was tender and moist even though it was cooked directly in the curry. It is this pot of Fish Head Curry that brought me to the moment of Epiphany. Ah, now at last, I finally know what the fuss over Fish Head Curry is all about.'

'Fish Head Deluxe (from $24 for small) arrives in a metal pot, with a tomato and half a lime on top. The snapper head is just cooked, but what takes my breath away is the smoothness of the dish. There are no sharp edges, no burning heat or inappropriately assertive spice. All is fine and mellow. The okra and chunks of brinjal are tender, but not mushy.'
