Touted must-try dish
'The Kimchi Carnitas Fries ($18) has been the dish touted as must-try dish of the restaurant by many. The plate of fries is topped with braised pork carnitas and some other standard Mexican garnishes. What gives a twist is the addition of sautéed kimchi, providing that additional unique spice and tang to it all!'
Xenia Tan (Eatbook)
Sinful goodness
'Nothing says Ko-Mex like this giant basket of Kimchi Carnitas Fries ($18++). Piping hot fries are covered with braised carnitas pulled pork, sautéed kimchi, melted cheese, sour cream and their special hot sauce. If this combination of sinful goodness doesn’t catch your attention, I don’t know what will. The fries carried a smoky flavour from the pulled pork and a great kick of spice from the kimchi and hot sauce. And right after my tongue was hit by the spice, the sour cream and melted cheese worked to neutralise the heat. In short, using the word “flavourful” to describe this would be a total understatement.'

Hits the spot
'Quesadillas are an integral part of Mexican food and so we tried Vatos’ signature Spicy Chicken Quesadilla ($17). This cheesy soft tortilla delight comes with a spicy chicken recipe that is topped with arbol chilli sauce. For those who love spicy food, this will hit the right spots.'
