We may have bid goodbye to the Tokyo Olympics, but our love for Japanese food certainly knows no end. What better way to get your fix of fine Japanese fare than an omakase feast? Omakase, which means “I’ll leave it up to you”, is all about trusting in the chef’s choice of seasonal ingredients as well as methods of preparation. If you’re impatiently waiting for your reservation slot at your favourite omakase restaurant, you’ll be glad to know that you can have always your feast delivered. Here are Oddle Eats‘ picks for the best Japanese omakase delivery that Singapore has got to offer!

1. Akashi: Delight in omakase meets chirashi don

Omakase Chirashi ($238 for 3 to 5 pax)

An omakase menu is impressive enough on its own. Surely, it’s going to be even better when it meets the chirashi don. Akashi, whose air-flown ingredients are sourced from Tokyo’s Tsukiji Market, presents the Omakase Chirashi ($238 for 3 to 5 pax). The dish features 100g of toro (tuna), 100g of bafun uni (sea urchin), as well as 500g of seafood atop vinegared sushi rice. Lighter eaters may opt for the Omakase Chirashi (half size) ($138 for 2 to 3 pax).

For the best experience, it is recommended that you spoon a generous amount of rice and fish cubes onto the sheets of seaweed!

2. Sen of Japan: Only the freshest makes the cut

Chef’s Omakase Sashimi Platter ($188 for 22 pcs)
Sen Sashimi Moriawase ($98 for 14 pcs)

Crafted with the notion of “sen” or freshness, Sen of Japan is a go-to for modern Japanese cuisine. For a palatial omakase experience at home, opt for the centrepiece-worthy Chef’s Omakase Sashimi Platter ($188 for 22 pcs, serves 2 to 3 pax) or the Sen Sashimi Moriawase ($98 for 14 pcs). Both feature Chef Nakano Hiromi’s picks of the day.

3. Sushi Ichizuke: Masters of traditional edomae sushi

Take Home Edo-Style Omakase ($300 for 2 pax)

Edomae, or Edo-style sushi, is made with fish that has been cured or cooked before serving. While edomae sushi can be hard to find in Singapore, you don’t have to look any further than Sushi Ichizuke. Their Take Home Edo-Style Omakase ($300 for 2 pax) comes packed with appetizers, sashimi, sushi, seasonal vegetables, and even desserts for the full experience. Only available from Tuesday to Sunday, so do plan ahead and order your omakase delivery in advance.

While you’re at it, check out their rice bowls and maki rolls!

4. Sushi Jiro: One of the best when it comes to omakase delivery in Singapore

Plus, the restaurant’s ingredients are air-flown from Japan four times a week. Satisfy your palate for all things Japanese with the Omakase Bento ($88), an all-in-one meal that includes an appetizer, sashimi, uni ikura, wagyu beef, assorted sushi, and miso soup.

We haven’t forgotten about you, sushi enthusiasts! Pacify your cravings with the Sushi Jiro Platter A ($128 for 2 pax). With toro and salmon sashimi, as well as an assortment of sushi and rolls, it’s not to be missed. Otherwise, the seasonal 5 Kinds Sushi ($45 for 5 pcs) and 8 Kinds Sushi ($70 for 8 pcs) promises indulgence like none other.

5. Tamashii: Char-grilled Hokkaido crab legs, sushi, and more delicious seasonal creations

Did you know that an omakase menu doesn’t always feature sushi and sashimi? Tamashii’s Family Omakase A ($208 for 2 pax) is sure to hit the spot for those who prefer delights such as Char-grilled Hokkaido Crab Legs, Iberico Pork Chop, and Saga Gyu Sukiyaki Donburi. But don’t you fret, sashimi connoisseurs. Go for the Sashimi Omakase ($208 for 2 pax), which includes a spread of seasonal cuts. That’s not all! You’ll be in for more treats such as their cold somen with bafun uni & truffle shavings, and even a premium aburi don with seared seafood.

6. Yoshi and the Horse’s Mouth: Dine fine with their opulent kaiseki-style menu

Helmed by Chef Yoshiyuki, Yoshi and the Horse’s Mouth celebrates the art of kaiseki cuisine or traditional multi-course Japanese fine dining. Revered for the finesse of its presentation and ingredients, the Kaiseki Omakase (small for $178, large for $258) features assorted seasonal sashimi and grilled fish amongst many others. Its more luxurious counterpart packs even more of a punch. Highlights include the Sakura Ebi Rice with Truffle Caviar and 24k Edible Gold Flakes, as well as an upgraded sashimi platter that is topped with sea urchin and abalone.

Want more? Featuring hay-smoked Chargrilled Hokkaido A5 Wagyu, Unagi Kabayaki, and even bamboo wrapped sushi, the Season Special Omakase Bento ($108) is certainly a showstopper.
