Having used to visit their cafe after a long day of shopping in JB, I was super excited when Lavender Bakery finally opened their first Singapore bakery at Jewel Changi Airport. Here they offer a range of delicately handcrafted cakes that will surely be suitable for any occasion. Fruity favourites include, but are not limited to, the Tropical Mango Cake (from $42), Exotic Fruit Cake (from $46) and Strawberry Cake ($46). Cheese lovers will also enjoy the Baked Cheese (from $50) and Internet-famous Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($55).

You also can’t go wrong with their Premium Nasi Lemak ($20) or Premium Crab Meat & Salted Egg Fried Kway Teow ($21), which features a twist on the famous Penang-style char kway teow.

Kolo mee is a dry noodle dish native to Sarawak, which is admittedly a long way from Singapore. Thankfully, Jia Xiang Sarawak Kolo Mee has brought the famous Malaysian comfort dish to our shores! Savour the springy and flavourful noodles in their signature Jia Xiang Mee ($9.40), or the Gold Jia Xiang Mee (from $11.40) which comes with abalone slices. For something with a Western twist, try the Black Pepper Smoked Duck Kolo Mee ($9), Fried Chicken Kolo Mee ($9) or Fish Fillet Mee ($9).
