Following the announcement of the Michelin Guide Singapore 2022, we are proud to share that 3 of our esteemed restaurants have yet again clinched their Michelin One Star. Heartiest congratulations to these well-deserved restaurants on Oddle Eats!

For a sumptuous spread of authentic Chinese cuisines, here is our take on some worthy mentions!

1. Imperial Treasure Fine Teochew Cuisine

Located in ION Orchard, Imperial Treasure Fine Teochew Cuisine is part of the famous Imperial Treasure Chinese Restaurant Group. Since its inception in 2004, its beyond 20-strong restaurants across countries have achieved critical acclaim and amassed over 50 awards, many of which being Michelin Stars. They joined the star-studded ranks annually since 2017, and have been serving an assortment of imported fresh sweet catches, in-house marinated dishes all paired with their sophisticated cooking methods.

For a soothing starting experience, try their Double-boiled Fish Maw Soup with Shark’s Cartilage (from $48.15) filled with pieces of soft fish maw that will envelop your mouth with every scoop. Meat lovers can indulge in their tender Sautéed Diced Beef with Sliced Garlic (from $40.66), or delicious Teochew-style Chilled Pig’s Trotters (from $19.26) that possesses a thick jellied skin that sinks right into your teeth!

They also serve classic Teochew Dimsum varieties like Steamed Prawn Dumpling ‘Ha Kau’ ($8.56), Steamed Crispy Rice Roll with Shrimp ($13.91) and Steamed Custard Bun with Salted Egg Yolk ($8.03) daily only till 2 pm. Be sure to catch them before they are gone!

Gather your friends and family and head down to their in-store ION Orchard outlet for a wholesome Teochew Feast. For convenience, opt for delivery with a $50 min. spend or get free delivery for orders over $300.

2. PUTIEN

Michelin Star recognised since 2016, PUTIEN’s Kitchener Road outlet has become synonymous with great Fujian food. Established in 2000, they’re now famous for both its aqua-coloured decor and the Putian cuisine, from its namesake city. Using only the finest seasonal ingredients, every dish accentuates its natural flavours.

Be spoilt for choice with their wide myriad of seasonal items and bestsellers. For this season’s special, they are offering juicy Doutou Clams, otherwise known as Chinese razor clams, till end-July. Spicy Fried Duotou Clams (from $28.70) join the catalogue this year, giving sweet shellfish a slightly spicy kick. Other delightful variations include the Steamed Duotou Clams with Minced Garlic (from $28.70) and the Scrambled Eggs with Duotou Clams (from $28.70).

Mark your calendars for their next seasonal ingredients—Eels, around August to October. Be sure to try them when the time comes!

Other bestsellers include Fried Heng Hwa Bee Hoon (from $11.60), paired with prawns, clams, meat and peanuts, which makes a simple yet fulfilling meal. The Seasonal Vegetable in Supreme Stock (from $15.80) is another favourite, filled with Chinese spinach as the main component. Cooked with a generous portion of garlic, century egg and salted egg, each ingredient is crucial in contributing to that flavourful stock.

PUTIEN also offers Family Sets for 4-5 and Exclusive Sets for 1-2. Each Family Set includes your choice of Fujian Seafood Lor Mee (regular) or Fried Heng Hwa Bee Hoon (regular) accompanied by a range of dishes like Braised Bean Curd with Chinese Cabbage and Deep-fried Tenggiri Fish.

Winning yet another Michelin Star in Singapore is a testament to PUTIEN’S quality, and many customers often return for their delicious food. If you’ve yet to try it, now’s a great time to give their food a taste.

3. Summer Pavilion

Summer Pavilion’s Poached Prawn, Chicken, Chinese Cabbage, Preserved Vegetable Dumpling (from $9.65)

If you want good Cantonese food, you need to try Summer Pavilion, a 4-time Michelin Star Awardee in Singapore. Thanks to their Executive Chef Cheung Siu Kong’s over 30 years of experience in Cantonese specialities, he brings out each ingredient’s inherent flavour successfully. Cheng is deeply devoted to his craft, promising you an authentic encounter with Cantonese dishes. Located in The Ritz-Carlton, look forward to a tranquil dining experience onsite. Alternatively, opt for delivery to enjoy their delicacies on your cosy couch.

For Dim Sum, don’t miss their Deep-Fried Lobster Rolls (from $8.55). Combining plump lobster meat and prawn paste, seafood lovers will adore the breaded vermicelli’s crunch, then the supple meat beneath. There’s also the Poached Prawn, Chicken, Chinese Cabbage, Preserved Vegetable Dumpling (from $9.65) that boasts a sweet taste. This dumpling really whets your appetite when dipped in the accompanying vinegar.

We also recommend the Marinated Smoked Whole Duck (from $81.30) for perfect crisp skin and juicy meat. Smoked with Chinese tea leaves, spot the pleasing fragrance within this savoury treat.

For mains, give their Fried Rice (from $34.25) a taste. Fried with generous amounts of crab meat, dried scallop and egg white, it’s fragrant and not overly oily. It’ll be hard to resist grabbing more if there’s any left when you share it with others.

Hosted at a grand hotel like The Ritz-Carlton, you may prefer dining in as compared to ordering delivery. But with Summer Pavilion’s consistent quality, expect to receive the same quality even when it’s sent to your doorstep.

Here at Oddle Eats, we’re always striving to provide you with the best. We’ll aim to share more Michelin Star restaurants in Singapore with you in future too. But that aside, you can be sure to enjoy great variety and flavour, through our over 1,000 food-makers across the island.
