1. Cheval Cafe Bar & Bistro

Now, now, this may be a new name to those who don’t visit the Turf Club. Cheval Cafe Bar & Bistro serves up solid mouth-watering Asian meals, perfect for family. With their Crab Feast Set ($125), feast on an entire LARGE crab of choice, crisp fried Golden Mantou, Marmite/Pandan Chicken. If your family’s feelin’ a little fishy that day, go for the Premium Family Fish Set A ($53.90). Featuring Cheval’s Chef Signature Curry Fish, Stir-fry Seasonal Vegetables, Cai Pu Egg, and Pandan Chicken. All you really need is white rice. The perfect stay-in fuss-free family dinner in the chilly weather. You’re just a click away from the ever-convenient islandwide delivery.

2. Ellenborough Market Café @ Swissotel Merchant Court

Serving up time-honoured recipes such as Peranakan classics and international flavours, dine in opulence in the comfort of your home with Ellenborough Market Café @ Swissotel Merchant Court. Grab a box or two of their Signature Nyonya Bento for a hassle-free family, friends or office gathering. Take your pick from Ayam Buah Keluak ($17) to Babi Pongteh ($17), Ikan Selar Sumbat Belacan Chili ($17), and more. Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the Signature Mao Shan Wang Durian Cake (from $15) too, this is one the durian lovers will certainly enjoy. Plus, with islandwide delivery, sorting your food cravings can’t get any easier.

3. Kota Zheng Zong Bak Kut Teh

Missing that bowl of Malaysian Herbal Bak Kut Teh? Well, I’m glad to say that your longing has come to an end! With Kota Zheng Zong Bak Kut Teh, relish the essence of herbal claypot bak kut teh without having to cross the causeway. First off, their Signature Herbal Claypot (from $13.30) a.k.a the Original Herbal Bak Kut Teh, is your safe yet spectacular option. Delight in its robustly-flavoured soup paired with fall-off-the-bone tender herbal-infused pork ribs. If you’re looking for a collagen-rich option, take on the Pork Belly Bak Kut Teh (from $12.20). Perfect meal to warm up your belly!

4. Overrice

Founded by four gentlemen with a passion for travelling, Overrice’s adaptation of Mediterranean-influenced rice bowls have sure won the hearts of our fellow locals. Originating from the pushcarts of Manhattan, New York, the founders have devised a bowl packed with ingredients tailored to our Singaporean taste buds. That’s not all—they now provide islandwide delivery~

As always, topped with the classic protein-of-choice, Overrice’s Chicken Bowl ($12.40) is everyone’s go-to. Tender grilled chicken, placed atop freshly steamed basmati rice with fluffy pita bread and mixed salad tucked at the side, this is a recipe for (healthy) happiness!

Don’t skip on the Falafel Bowl ($12.40) and Pulled Beef Bowl ($13.70) too. Props to the special sauces that bring the entire bowl together. From their addictively-good white sauce to the fiery hot chili sauce, you’re gonna regret not adding an extra portion to your cart!

5. SOCIEATY

You may not have heard of SOCIEATY but do Mui Kee Congee, Pepperoni Pizzeria, and Lemak Boys ring a bell? That’s right, a culmination of brands under Les Amis Group, SOCIEATY is a multi-concept restaurant featuring their top offerings under a single roof. Yay! Enjoy all your cuisine favourites with a single order.

Hailing from Hong Kong, Mui Kee’s Threadfin Fish Belly Congee ($21.19) would be a pricey way to confess your love for congee, but worth it nonetheless. Silken smooth congee, greeted with chunks of fish belly and hints of garnish. Or perhaps, if someone in your party is craving Italian food, experience love at first bite with the Peperoni Pizzeria’s Diavola (from $20.33). Layered with an even layer of savoury pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and a tangy tomato base, you’d definitely want a piz-za this!

Finally, the Lemak Boys have got their Premium Nasi Lemak ($21.93) to satisfy your local food cravings. Born out of a desire to preserve local heritage flavours and recipes, Lemak Boys serves up Peranakan-influenced dishes that most of us are no strangers to. Albeit at a higher cost, I’d like to think the team have no competitors other than themselves when such premium ingredients are used. Order with an open mind and give this luxe dish a try!
